Vegetarian Thali

Thali, literally means "large plate", but if you were to order a thali in an Indian restaurant , you would be served a multitude of different dishes on one such plate. Usually a vegetable curry, dahl, bread, rice, pickles and something sweet. I am looking forward to teaching you how easy it can be to make healthy, delicious vegetarian/vegan food and create your own thali. Your lesson will include how to make: Dahl (lentil curry), Vegetable Curry, Vegetable Pulao , Rotli (unleavened bread)and Gajar nu Halwa (a desert made from carrots and creamy milk). Kirna's cooking lessons are really fun and interactive. They've been a great way to learn authentic Indian recipes at home, with input from an expert. It's really useful to see what she's cooking at the same time, and to get real-time advice; much better than simply following a recipe!

I recently participated in Kirna’s chicken curry making lesson. Kirna’s recipe was easy to follow and her instructions were clear both before and during the class. Her style is very gentle and encouraging. Plus, the curry was absolutely amazing; I cannot wait for the Dhansak class... Highly recommended!

A great afternoon learning to make Lamb Dhansak with Kirna @ Kirna's Kitchen. The recipe was easy to follow with clear explanations and helpful hints along the way from Kirna. A delicious lamb curry ready in 2hrs. It was very relaxed and such a great experience! I would thoroughly recommend doing a class!

What a wonderful lockdown experience! Learned to cook two Authentic Indian dishes over two lessons. As a complete novice I was skeptical about being able to produce anything vaguely resembling the recipe - I was wrong! ... Highlight for me was Kirna's Biryani and making fresh Roti! Couldn't recommend enough!
